"I was a nervous to put my 12.5-year-old Yorkie under anesthesia for teeth cleaning. The clinic staff was calming and reassuring. They text mailed me a couple times and responded to my queries of how he was doing throughout the hours he was there. Which actually wasn't very long. At other clinics he has spent all day. We were passing through town, when my dog had a terrible bout with stomach issues. I called the office of Canyon View Cares and Zoe was able to get us in on the same day! I was so happy and relived! Not knowing what to expect, I was overjoyed with the extremely high
level of care my dog Doc received at this clinic.
Dr, Leonard, Aspen and Zoe were all amazing! Bar none, this is the best care my dog and I have received any where! Several times during our appt. I was offered water and snacks by both Aspen and Zoe. Zoe brought Doc a bowl of water, which he was very happy to receive.
Dr. Leonard and Aspen took their time examining my old boy. They checked him out from nose to tail, as Dr Leonard said! I loved it!
After some blood tests and xrays ( which were $800 LESS than they would have been back home!), Dr. Leonard was able to determine a action plan to help my pup.
Such amazingly kind,and compassionate care! So appreciated!
Zoe at the front desk gets a special shout out too. Zoe exsudes happiness! She makes you feel good the moment you start talking to her. You can tell she loves to spread joy. Zoe and I had a couple of great conversations too. Her customer service and people skills are top notch!

"I have a pup that very much panics & has very high anxiety at the vet. He could easily be viewed as a bad or aggressive dog but the staff understood that he was just in panic mode & very scared. After our visit that was unsuccessful for vaccines & check up, they sent us home to give him some medication & had us come back. After returning they had us be outside on the grass to make him more comfortable & were able to get the vaccines done. Not only that, but after they had me take his mussel off & played with him. That meant a lot to me because they could have judged him based off of his fear & turned us away or made his experience & fear for the vet even worse but they cared for him with nothing but love & understanding & left him with his tail wagging. They gave him the chance to show how loving & fun he is, they also stated that his future visits will be outside where he is comfortable & I truly thought they wouldn't even want us to come back. I am so appreciative & Canyon View will be our forever vet!

"My Search And Rescue K9 needed immediate assistance from a Vet and I was not very pleased with our current Vet we have seen in the past. I called Canyon View Cares in Perry, Utah and asked what was the soonest they could get my Dog in? They told me that they would be able to see him that day or the next day, the receptionist gal that I talked to was very very polite and caring the whole time on the phone and was very efficient at her job. I got my dog into Canyon View Cares and was hesitant of Vets due to the last go around with our old Vet while waiting to be seen. After being seen by the Vet Tech we got the chance to meet one of the worlds GREATEST Vets I have ever met, Dr. Nicole Busch, DVM, CPEV. Dr Busch was so kind and caring to not only my Dog but to my concerns and worries as well and was very courteous with explaining the costs and processes of everything. She told me step by step of everything she was going to do and how long it would take her. Needless to say Dr. Busch gave 5 star service to my Dog and my Dog has felt so much better than when he first did going in thanks to Dr. Busch's care and professionalism. "My Frenchie Calvin is a sweetheart, but he really struggles when he’s ’messed’ with, and he’ll squirm, run away, bark, and then will nip if you continue to pursue him. Even though he’s not perfectly behaved, I still need to get him the care he needs, and recently needed to go in to have a bump checked out on his neck. I informed the nurses ahead of time about his temperament, and they were so great with him, from beginning to end. During the exam where fluid needed to be obtained from his neck to determine the cause, two nurses + the vet were there to help and didn’t act like it was difficult at all…all working together to get his attention while the doctor got the sample with Calvin barely noticing. This is our primary vet, so we’ve been here before and never had a bad experience. But, I will say that this last experience was top notch, like their team has gotten even better if that’s possible, to deliver all around without judgement and true care for my fur baby.

"My dog had been acting lethargic and not eating for a couple days. I was so worried about him so I called his vet, Canyon View Cares and the tech that answered the phone was so nice and worked him in within a couple hours of my call (it was two days before Christmas, so I am sure they were busy). Dr Akagi was able to quickly diagnose the problem- he had a bowel obstruction due to swallowing a piece of rubber ball. He needed emergency surgery and Dr Akagi and his staff quickly got him prepped and into surgery. He needed to stay overnight for observation and IV fluid and medicine. The next day was Christmas Eve and the clinic was going to be closed, however, Makeala (and other techs but I don't know their names) were willing to come in that night and the next morning to take care of him. We were able to bring him home Christmas Eve. He is doing 100% better and back to his goofy self! I cannot thank Dr Akagi and the staff at Canyon Views enough!! Dr Akagi called me a few days later to check on him. Thank you so much for your excellent skills and compassion. I HIGHLY recommend Canyon View Cares! Thanks again for taking such wonderful care of my sweet goldendoodle."

Dr Wayment recently did some dental and minor surgery on our 13 1/2 year old dorkie. Knowing I was worried about him going under anesthesia he had his tech call me multiple times throughout the day to let me know how Bentley was doing. When I picked Bentley up rather than just send his tech out with the after care instructions he took the time out of his busy schedule to sit down with me and answer any questions or concerns I might of had. I was very impressed by how friendly, genuine and caring he was. 2 weeks later at the follow up appointment he again spent all the time with us that we needed. I am very happy with the care and service we receive there."

"I have several dogs and a couple cats. I moved here and had to find another veternarian as it was way to far to the old one. I can't say my dogs are all well behaved. A couple are, they do not like either grooming or vets. There is one especially they help me with. Biggest baby at 110 lbs and doesn't want to go in the building. Not aggressive, just not interested in shots and exam. They help me get him in and I don't need help getting him out as he is willing to go home. He likes home. But they help me with others too and even groom them. It has always been a good job either the vet or the grooming. I do take them back just for nails sometimes. My family and I will continue using them."

It abscessed and we took in her in on a recommendation from Crystal and thought we were going to have to put her down. He was very informative and kind. "I absolutely recommend taking your animals here! Everyone there has such an amazing love and care for animals. They are all so kind and understand that your animals are put of your family, so they treat every animal with amazing love whether it's just a nail trim or a major surgery. I have a pug (they are the worst with getting their nails trimmed) and they are the only ones that I trust to trim her nails because she jerks around so much. We also recently had to have a pretty intense surgery on our pug because she got in the garbage and ate things she shouldn't have and had a blockage. The vet told us it would be a pretty quick surgery but it ended up being a longer than he thought. He worked so hard on her, and did everything to make sure that she would have a full recovery. I was a nervous wreck about her being in surgery but knowing she was in good hands calmed me down.

"After the horrifying experience that we had with the boarding at Pet Envy in Brigham City, it took weeks for my dogs to recover. Not just from the injuries, but from the emotional trauma they suffered there. They were so depressed and withdrawn. I recently boarded them with Canyon View Animal Health Center in Perry and it was an entirely different experience. When we returned from the trip, they were clean, happy, healthy, and well-adjusted. I can't even explain what a relief that was to know that they were well-cared for and enjoyed their stay. Edit: I must say these guys are my favorite place to go. They really helped us with my kitty. In my opinion they saved his life. He was in a lot of pain. They kept him for three days, kept him comfortable and got him back to us doing much better than when we dropped him off. Dr Fife was a real big help and knew we were having so difficulty as far as the cost, and was more than will to help the best she could."

When you have two cats and two dogs running your household (note: not running around your household, but literally running it haha), you quickly learn who the best vets are. Twice now, they have been able to diagnose issues with my pets that other vets couldn't figure out (or said…that’s impossible, your dog is too young! – it was bladder stones, and yes the young puppy did have them!). Now that I have been to a few vets in Ogden, I am 100% committed to staying with Canyon View, even though I have to drive a little bit further to get to Perry.
